BORDERLANDS

Do you live on the Welsh/English Border?

Do you know your local folklore, songs, or the stories of the land?

Gagglebabble and Pentabus Theatre are looking for individuals who live on the border to share their stories and local knowledge with musician and performer Lucy Rivers.

Lucy will be walking the Wales/England border through August and September 2020. We are looking for stories/anecdotes/myths/songs old and new, that relate to the landscape, history and people of the area. If you have a story and favoured border walk that you’d like to share with Lucy, we want to hear from you. Each walk will be accompanied by filmmaker, who will film the landscape and interaction along the way.

“It would be great to meet up and walk with locals who call the borders home and are willing to share and unearth some of these lesser known stories.” Lucy Rivers

Please send your expression of interest to amber@pentabus.co.uk before Friday 14 August, including a summary of the story and walk you’d like to share. Walks should be no more than 5 miles.

All walks will comply with social distancing rules and government guidelines.

We particularly welcome expressions of interest from d/Deaf, disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people living on the Wales/England border as these voices are currently under-represented on this project.

Borderlands is a digital project by Gagglebabble, supported by Pentabus and Arts Council Wales.

GALW AR BOBL LEOL:

BORDERLANDS

Ydych chi'n byw ar y ffin rhwng Cymru a Lloegr?

Ydych chi'n gwybod eich llên gwerin leol, caneuon, neu straeon y tir?

Mae Gagglebabble a Theatr Pentabus yn chwilio am bobl sy'n byw ar y ffin sy’n fodlon rhannu eu straeon a'u gwybodaeth leol gyda'r cerddor a'r perfformiwr, Lucy Rivers.

Bydd Lucy yn cerdded ar hyd ffin Cymru / Lloegr yn ystod mis Awst a mis Medi 2020. Rydyn ni’n chwilio am straeon / anecdotau / chwedlau / caneuon hen a newydd, sy'n ymwneud â thirwedd, hanes a phobl yr ardal. Os oes gennych chi stori a hoff daith gerdded ar y ffin i’w rhannu â Lucy, hoffwn ni glywed wrthoch chi. Bydd gwneuthurwr ffilm yn gwmni ar bob taith gerdded i ffilmio'r tirlun a'r ymateb iddo.

“Byddai'n wych cwrdd â phobl leol sy'n galw'r ffiniau'n gartref ac sy'n barod i rannu a darganfod rhai o'r straeon llai adnabyddus hyn.” Lucy Rivers.

Ebostiwch amber@pentabus.co.uk erbyn dydd Gwener 14 Awst i fynegi’ch diddordeb yn y prosiect, gan gynnwys crynodeb o'r stori a’r daith gerdded yr hoffech eu rhannu. Ni ddylai teithiau cerdded fod yn fwy na 5 milltir.

Bydd pob taith gerdded yn cydymffurfio â rheolau pellter cymdeithasol a chanllawiau'r llywodraeth.

Rydyn ni’n croesawu’n arbennig fynegiadau o ddiddordeb gan bobl anabl a phobl Ddu, Asiaidd a Lleiafrifoedd Ethnig sy'n byw ar ffin Cymru / Lloegr, gan fod y lleisiau hyn wedi'u tangynrychioli ar y prosiect hwn ar hyn o bryd.

Mae Tiroedd y Ffin yn brosiect digidol gan Gagglebabble, gyda chefnogaeth Pentabus a Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.
